Give Change Make Change Magento module

Give Change Make Change is pleased to announce a new module, in collaboration with leading open source ecommerce platform Magento, that makes the round-up functionality even simpler for ecommerce stores to implement.

It works as part of the checkout process. At checkout, the shopper will see a box they can tick asking if they would like to round-up their purchase.

All the shopper then has to do is tick the box to round up the cost automatically. Depending on the configuration options enabled in the Magento administration system, the customer is able to enter a specific amount to donate or have their basket rounded up and the difference donated. The customer’s donation is processed along with their shopping basket as a single payment. When a customer successfully checks out, this triggers a notification and sends data of the donation in real time to the Give Change Make Change system. Each month they will contact the retailer to collect these funds.

The module is available via the Magento community and is compatible with community, professional and enterprise versions.

The Give Change Make Change technology is designed to work with all ecommerce systems. The round-up functionality will be integrated into a number of other ecommerce systems over the next 6 months, including Venda.
